During these festivals, ethnic girls like Thai girls, H’mong girls, Muong girls wear their gaudy brocade costume dresses. Their dancing and singing with the boys blowing horns, Mong flute creates a unique and attractive cultural space.

In October, the traditional Cow Festival, now called the “Cow Beauty Contest,” pits the best-looking dairy producers against each other to see who can be queen. The cow that is the most beautiful and gives the most milk wins the competition.

Moc Chau tourists can visit tea farms and learn how to pick tea leaves, dry them and then brew a cup. They can also sample local specialties like fried beef, fish and fresh milk.
